“Grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and settle in – everyone is welcome here.”
Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
Hi! I’m Amelia – or Ami Foxx as most know me; writer, life coach, advocate – oh, and I’m a trans woman.
Here, I share resources, stories, and support for people navigating the messy, beautiful realities of being trans in a world that too often tries to pretend we don’t exist. Whether you’re here for advice, solidarity, or just to feel less alone … I see you. You belong here.
I help people make sense of systems that weren’t designed for us – from gender markers and GRCs to housing, healthcare, and handling burnout. My work is practical and political. It’s admin & activism coupled with compassion and care.
Because surviving is brave. And helping each other survive is how we win.
On this page you will find out about how the name ‘Amelia’s Angels’ came to be, what our mission statement is and how we aim to help others. Finally, you will meet the team behind this website, behind the work we do, behind the advocacy.
Now, are we sitting comfortably….
Why ‘Amelia’s Angels? The story behind a name.
The name “Amelia’s Angels” has a special backstory.
I’ve always been open about my journey, sharing it on TikTok through posts and daily live streams – eventually gathering a following of nearly 50,000 people. Over time, some of my regulars joked that they should have an official “group name,” and together we came up with Amelia’s Angels.
A big part of that community’s magic came from the atmosphere we built. My live streams weren’t confrontational or agenda-driven – they were calm, welcoming, and well-moderated, thanks to my amazing TikTok mod team who are fiercely protective of me. People started to see them as a “safe space” – more like a friendly coffee chat than a broadcast.
I actually began by streaming everyday tasks – ironing, cooking, washing up – as a kind of “body doubling” for anyone who needed company and motivation. The conversations flowed naturally, friendships formed, and the Angels were born.
So when I launched my website and life coaching, naming it after the lovely people who supported me from the start felt like the perfect way to honour them.
Mission Statement.
Our mission at Amelia’s Angels is to offer a practical lifeline and supportive space for trans people navigating their journey. We provide one-to-one coaching which is in part based on own lived experiences navigating the system and the research we have embarked on to provide consice, practical support for your own unique journey.
Amelia’s Angels also will provide administrative help so you can navigate the social, medical and legal steps ahead.
We champion rights-based advocacy, and deliver trusted news, all in one place.
At our core, our aim is to lighten the load, amplify trans voices, and help our community live freely, confidently, and with dignity.
